Richard Lichter
VICE CHAIR, NEWBURY PARTNERS
Mr. Lichter is the Vice Chair of Newbury Partners, a Bridge Investment Group company, and is responsible for managing its investment activity. Mr. Lichter has been a senior investment professional in twelve secondary funds and has been responsible for over 150 secondary transactions. Mr. Lichter joined Newbury Partners, a Bridge Investment Group company, in March of 2023, from Newbury Partners LLC, where he was the Founder and Managing Partner. Prior to founding Newbury Partners LLC, Mr. Lichter was Managing Director and Head of Secondary Investments at Auda Private Equity LLC (now HQ Capital Private Equity LLC), where he led the sourcing and investment of Auda Secondary Fund. Previously, Mr. Lichter was a Managing Director at Lexington Partners since that firm's inception in 1995, where he was primarily engaged in transaction origination and valuation of secondary purchases of buyout and mezzanine partnership interests. Mr. Lichter was also responsible for secondary purchases from Japanese institutions while at Lexington Partners. Beginning in 1993, Mr. Lichter was a Managing Director at Landmark Partners, and, prior to that, he held the position of Vice President in investment banking at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets.
Mr. Lichter graduated with an MS degree in Management from M.I.T., Sloan School of Management and received a BA degree from Dartmouth College with Phi Beta Kappa honors.
